2025-2026 TRYOUT DATES
12U to 14U - 09 August 2025
Check-in: 8:30AM-9AM
Tryout: 9AM to 12PM
15U and 18U - 09 August 2025
Check-in: 1PM-1:30PM
Tryout: 1:30PM to 4:30PM
Tryout Cost: *$35 for Early Registration. (Walk Up Fee is $50)
Tryout Location: 4221 Black Bridge Road, Hope Mills, NC 28348
*The Early Bird Registration fee for tryouts is $35 until July 8th, Walk-ups and all others registering for tryouts after July 8th will pay $50. This fee includes a CEVC T-shirt.

After signing up and paying the tryout fee, we will send you additional information once we get closer to tryouts with additional registration information.
Returning Club Players - Welcome back! We hope you're having an amazing summer! The registration process is the same as last season..
First time USAV club player - We'd like to welcome you and family to competitive travel volleyball! Please view our FAQs tab, as well as the "How To Choose The Right Club" tab for more information and details about travel volleyball.
The tryout fee is $35 for online pre-registration OR $50 starting on July 8th.
If accepted for a team, a $50 deposit is due on Signing Day, September 1, 2025.
A NOTE ABOUT TRYOUT DAY
Welcome to the First Step into experiencing what Evolution is all about!
Our tryouts are designed to identify potential, effort, and coachability — not just current skill level. We’re looking for athletes who want to grow, compete, and be part of a team-first culture.
Tryouts will be fast-paced and highly organized, simulating real training scenarios. Expect a combination of:

Individual skill evaluation (serving, passing, setting, hitting)

Position-specific breakdowns

Game play and situational drills
We evaluate based on the following key categories:

Athletic ability (explosiveness, coordination, quickness)

Volleyball fundamentals

Effort and hustle

Communication and teamwork

Attitude and coachability
What to Bring

2025-2026 SEASON AGE DEFINITION
If you are unsure of what age group your child should be
registered under, please follow the chart below, or email evolutionvc910@gmail.com with their current age and birthday,
and we will let you know.
18 and Under: Players who were born on or after July 1st, 2007 or are high school students in the twelfth (12th) grade or below during the current academic year and are 19 years of age or younger (born on or after July 1, 2003).
17 and Under: Players who were born on or after July 1, 2008
16 and Under: Players who were born on or after July 1, 2009
15 and Under: Players who were born on or after July 1, 2010
14 and Under: Players who were born on or after July 1, 2011
13 and Under: Players who were born on or after July 1, 2012
12 and Under: Players who were born on or after July 1, 2013
TEAM SELECTION
At tryouts, we will form as many teams as practical. If you are selected for a team, you will meet with the coaches (if they are in attendance) and other athletes selected for the team.
At that point, we will ask you whether you wish to accept an offer for a spot on the team. If you accept the offer, you will be asked to go to a link where our Club Participation Agreement exists and sign it,
Note: The Agreement will be available for your review upon arriving at tryouts. Please read it carefully during the 2-3 hour tryout process. If you are a returning player, the terms of the Agreement will be essentially the same as in prior years. If you reject the spot, we will be disappointed and attempt to fill that spot as soon as practically possible. All families that reject the initial offer, but would like to be reconsidered at a later time will have to re-register and attend a later tryout. Spots on teams will be limited and will be filled on as soon as practically possible.
