Program Details

Our Developmental Volleyball program is a great way to learn the fundamentals of the sport. In this 30 week program, athletes will participate in two 2-hour practice sessions per week led by Evolution Volleyball Instructors with the support of Evolution Volleyball Positional Coaches

  • 6 Month Schedule - Including an opening day, workouts, practices, and closing day.
  • Everybody trains!
  • There are No Tryouts, No Drafts, and No Fundraisers!
  • Athletes are organized in divisions based on their age and skill level.
  • Practice sessions will focus on volleyball fundamentals, rules of the game, as well as skill development, positional training, and muscular strength and endurance.
  • The first 1-2 weeks will be icebreakers, athlete bonding, and instruction only. The following weeks will include skill development, positional training, and muscular strength and endurance workouts, in addition to instructions. As the program progresses, athletes will be divided into scrimmaging teams; teammates may vary week to week.

(Age ranges and total times may vary based on registrations, player experience and playing location.)

Awards

Each week one athlete from each age group will be awarded an Evolution Volleyball Sportsmanship Certificate for demonstrating the value for that week.

Coaches

While this is a staff led program, volunteer coaches often help the instructor with sideline assistance and organization. Our developmental program volunteer coaches are current collegiate athletes, coaches, and/or adult competitive athletes. Our Developmental Program also has peer to peer facilitated training, lead by our current 17U and 18U athletes. If you are interested in learning more about coaching with Carolina Evolution Volleyball Club, please email us with the subject line as “Become A Coach”.

All coaches and referees undergo a background check.

Staff

An Evolution Volleyball Instructor will lead the instruction throughout the program. Additional Evolution staff will be on site to assist in programming details and provide support to players, coaches, and parents.

All staff members undergo a background check as well.

Evolution Volleyball Families

It is the essence of the Evolution Volleyball Experience to have families attend practices and scrimmages to cheer on their athlete(s). We encourage at least one parent or guardian to join in all practice activities as a spectator, motivator and role model. Let's work together to put the "fun" back into youth sports!

Miscellaneous:

  • Practices are conducted: Indoors
  • Restrooms: Available on premises
  • Seating: Bleachers/seating on premises

We're Playing it Safe

In our programs, we have always prioritized the safety and well-being of our players and their families. As such, we ask that any staff, coaches, parents or participants who are feeling sick stay home.
